I'm heading down to the Winchester/Coo Bay area July 22-23, and I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions of places you can camp and ride from?

If you're gonna be in the area let me know. My buddies backed out so I'm going solo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

GO to a winchester bay campgroud. Better riding and less cops.

If you dont have a comp site already good luck getting one. Thia time of year most campsites have been booked out for almost 3 months, unless you happen to get one that someone else backed out of.

Winchester is a smaller area than coosbay, but the hills are bigger, there are actually fun hill climbs, a wider selection of feasible jumps. I'll put it this way. I live 5 mins from the boxcar parking lot. I go to winchester every weekend.

We like to camp at half moon bay at winchester. Ive been to just about all the southern oregon coast dunes and the Bay rocks! For us with the trucks and quads it gives a lot of stuff to do and lots of sand to cover. If you are going during the week then you should be fine for getting a single site but the group sites are all reserved through the end of the summer last I heard. I love it down there, I want to load up right now and head on down!!!

Thanks for all the feedback. Luckily I was able to reserve a campsite at Discovery Point Resorts, which I believe accesses the Winchester Bay riding area.

I dont like discovery point. Way too crouded and we never have enough room, plus I had my seat and air cleaner stolen there........never again.
