are you sending in just the head? if you are then saran wrap to keep stuff out, then a layer or 2 of bubble wrap and plenty of news paper. i have never done it, but if i did, thats what i would use.

what are u exactely sending, if you are sending the whole motor I have heard it works good to put it in a cooler.

With a head just wrap it in a garbage bag or saran wrap and then bubble wrap. On an engine I use large plastic totes from wal-mart or a dollar store. The engines fit perfect in these, I plug the ports, wrap it in a garbage bag 2 times, and I stuff as much news paper in the tote as will go and then I drop the engine in and finish stuffing it. Once it is packaged well I put the top on and drill holes between the top and sides and use zip ties all the way around the tote to make sure the lid doesnt come off.
