Was riding with a few of my buddies met up with some other guys. we were trail riding through the woods and the guy that was behind me who didnt even have a helmet on or any other protective gear hit a tree and the handlebars ruptered his liver. he ended up dieing that day and its a really sad story showing things that could be prevented by WEARING YOUR PROTECTIVE GEAR while riding. R.I.P. Scott wish i had time to have gotten to know you better man.

its sad to hear anyone dieing while doing something we all enjoy, but some times freak accidents cant really be avoided, this seems like one of them, even chest protectors have their weak points. and i dont think many of them really protect the liver.

wearing your helmet should be a habit. I never do ANYTHING without my helmet on. Even if im just drving around my house, i out my helmet on. You never know what can happen.
Sorry for you loss man. I hate loosing people. 4 people in the last 3 years, not a fun experience. One of my buddies funeral's is today. He had a brain anurysm, 1 in 10,000,000 chance, and he got one.
Sorry if i keep goin on guys, its been a really tough few weeks for me.
But stay strong man
