I'm goin over to St. Anthony's dunes in Idaho on the 20th of June, has anyone rode there? How much better than Oregon dunes?
RoostItUp
I haven't been there presonally, but from what I've heard it is not really comparable to the Oregon dunes. I wouldn't imagine one would be better than the other because you go to each for completely different experiences. Coastal dunes are different when compared in inland desert dunes. I've wanted to goto St. Anthony's to see what it is all about, but never had the chance. Check out some videos on youtube, that may help give you an idea of what to expect.

ive been to st ans about 5 times, every time has been a blast! its really big, and open. i think you will have a great time. from what ive seen Oregon dunes have kind of a "woods/dune" scene and st ans is complete opposite. when you ride there your in 4-5 gear all day.

We got a big crew coming that week. We will be arriving on the 21st and staying till the 28th. If you have never been there you will be shocked the first time you pull up to Devil's...HUGE!!!

jeepman380, how long of a drive is that for you? Me and a few buddies went out there a few years ago and we found it takes 23 hours from south central Iowa. But worth every second. I would love to go back to climb choke cherry and cruise through some bowls. Don't get me wrong, Little Sahara in OK is fun, but I would give anything to get back to Idaho.

we might be heading out there sometime around then. Its a 14 hour drive a beleive from here. Our buddy that moved to North Dakota will be meeting us there, only a 10 hour drive for him.

It's about a 20 hour drive for us. Worth every minute though like you said. Been to Glamis and those don't even compare to Idaho IMO. Idaho has way taller dunes than Glamis. Although Glamis is bigger area wise but not in terms of BIG dunes.
