I heard from another member of this forum that Budds Creek MX track doesnt allow quads anymore. Is this true? And if so, when did this happen?

haha I have "heard" this from several people around here but I have not personally checked into it. I have not seen quads race there in a while. The only quads I have seen where out when someone personally rented out the track. I wish Budd's Creek would have open practice (which they don't except race days and you have to be racing) Quads were never really popular at Budds Creek though. Its set-up for bikes more then ATVs but damn I would lvoe to ride there. I live about 5 minutes away.

hey I just checked there site and it looks like they still allow quads to race

Sunday April 19th Gold Series Motocross
Written by web mistress

No Saturday Practice : Gates open 4pm Saturday 24/7

Sunday : Sign-up 7-9am : Practice 9am : Races 11am
All classes Motorcycles, Minibikes , Quads & Youth Quads
Admissions $15 adults $10 Children : Rider Sign-up $25

That race is held by the Southern MD Dirt Riders though. It looks like they will still run quads throughout the season but there schedule only list the days for dirt-bikes. I think they will race dirt-bikes on Sundays and quads on Saturdays

I just sent an e-mail asking when they will allow quads to race so hopefully I will get a reply sometime within a few days but who knows.

update:
got an auto reply back

Ya, the owner hates quads and a A$$ to boot. You can go pratice there on sat. when District 7 runs on sunday. they will charge for both days at the gate sat. and there is no refunds for one day. If you were to call and rent the track he will ask for the money and turn you right around and shut the gate behind you. The quads make it to dusty for his likings and he wll not wet the track. I don't run there at all because of all that. Check the AMA district 7 website for the quad dates

Its weird that a lot of people say that about the owner. I used to race bikes there (BMX not MX) when the track was still there and he was always really cool. He used to run hair scramblers in the woods. But I think since the MX track has become so popular he has become a little more of a dick. Unless he only acts like that to atv owners.

Who did you hear that from? John Beasley the owner is a millionaire so I don't see why he would ever have his equipment repoed. Not calling you out just wanna know if that is true or not. Budd's Creek is one of the highest ranked MX tracks in the country its hard to believe he would have issues like that.

The romor has been getting passed through most the District 7 riders. I herd it from Hitchens #279 Quad A rider and he herd it from another A rider. He might be a millionaire but I think the track is in bad shape. My understanding is Blue Dimond and VMP also had there stuff repoed and Delmarva motosports park is in bad shape too. I guss we will find out tomarrow.
