i have a 2006 yfz 480(Nmotion) 12.5/1 comp CP Piston big bore, ported and polished, fci intake, Fat Boy 4 Full exhaust,rev box, quick shot, nvqc needle.



thought going from the 39mm stock carb to a larger bore would get me some more gains on power.


i like drag racing, hill climbing, and trail riding ........ hopefully that helps determine what i need. thanks alot.

yea just checked website. think i want to rebuild my mortor already with venom pistons LOL. oh well ill wait until this one craps out. only been 5 hours or less.


yah pricing looks fine. cheaper then here. i know when i said 100-150 for carb boring they laughed and said be more then that....................but thats what u get for wanting a faster atv in canada. we dont have the aftermarket market u guys have. no deserts or huge sand riding areas here.

idles fine, starts perfect.

i let it idle today for 30-45 secs and gave it a couple braaaaps of the throttle a decent amount of blue/grey smoke came out exhaust. seems to get better as it warms up.


5 hours on new valves,seals,springs, retainers, cylinder,piston,rings..........read a bunch today narrowed it down i think to piston rings or valve seals>>>?? whats your take on this

letting a performance 4-stroke idle...and then whacking the throttle.....it is not unusual to have it puff blue smoke....

what about burning or loosing .3 litres of oil in 2 rides and only riding like 2 hours...........


believe it says 1.85 litres to fill i used about .3 or around there.......?

oil use is common on performance 4-strokes....

adding a bit of oil at every fuel refill is not out of line....

maybe your cylinder didn't have sharp[ enough honing to properly break in the new ring pack
