Mixxer, once I decided to improve my engine with you I've been thinking about the compression ratio for my 480 piston/cylinder.

In Spain, I think that there's no fuel race to use and people use some products known as "octane booster" for achieving a higher octane gas but I don't know if this method is enough for the requirements of a 14 compression piston. We have 95 and 98 gas. I've always used 98 in my engine.

What can I do?? I'd like to get the power of a high compression Venom piston but I feel fear of broke my engine for using a bad gas....

absolutely use the 12.25:1 version......

it makes excellent power....plus you will have a nice safety margin for variables like :

bad fuel

hot temps

less than perfect jetting...

stuff like that

srry 2 steal ur post pablo but mixxer what piston do u recomend for a stock bore with ttm porting and full dr.d exhaust and a pro-flow/k&n, cam mod?
ive herd that i should run a 12.5:1 with a head porting. i should still be running pump gas and it would be a great combo correct?
what do u think would be the right set up?

TTM sells TTM pistons, that I am sure would work just fine with that TTM head.

I would run nothing less then 12.5 is that helps you decide.

it's always best to go with whatever you engine builder recommends....since they build and test the entire package how they are going to build it....
