I installed a new Trail Tech flywheel becuase it was going to take to long to get a stocker. All Trail Tech had was a -6oz in stock. I am running trail tech torch lights. The lights are still pretty bright at idle. As soon as I crack open the throttle the lights get vey dim. When riding at night they are useless.
Has anyone had this issue? The lights worked perfect with my stock flywheel.

I though you had to get one of these
http://trailtech.net/stators_and_electrical_system_kits.html when you run their lights.
As for stock lights my trail tech -6oz works flawless. Been running them on my 06 and my 07 YFZ for a long time with out a problem.

no you can just use all your stock stuff. The lights are not HID. They are stock replacement headlights. I am however running a ricky stator 100dc conversion for (2) 4'' handlebar mounted HID's that are wired straight to my battery.

i know that when my electrical testing show my stator numbers falling with higher RPM, its time for a new stator. it will usualy read about 7 volts at idle, and go down to 2 or 3 volts at mid-RPM. this tells me when its time for a replacement.

I have a +2 flywheel when i installed ricky stator staor kit on my 2005 yfz it ran for 10 min melted wires. Sent it back fixed melted wires and they rewired it. Now my headlights still dont work with this kit they turned on and went right out (did not blow bulbs). It will randomly lose spark mainly on whoops. But will start back up. I am lost on how to fix this all wires are intact not melted. Is there a kit to bypass lights just to eliminate them all together? HELP SOMEONE
