Im using the ricky stator setup, they are very strong and last for a long time. But come with a high $$$ price. THey are almost too strong because I started twisting my splines on my stem.

I Heard somewhere that the vforce 700 stockers will fit and are a big improvment over stock. Anyone tried them?

OEM 06 and up ends, cheap, last, and strong.

no matter what you do, yamaha stem splines are going to twist... IF you bounce them off trees! : )

Houser is the only company Ive found that will replace the splines. And they only charge $45!!

Really? Houser's own stems the splines twist, don't think I would want them replacing splines if their stems do the same thing.

i got a set of Tusk (i believe - they came from rockymountain) with honda style ends. they ran me 100$ and use 250r ends, which are cheap... the ends are female and the tierods are male, super strong!

I run a custom made tie rod. Its a piece of stainless steel, solid. Its about 2/3" thick in diameter. Instead of having 1 lock nut on the exposed threads, if there is room sticking out. I run 2, which with these housers i do have room for another, with stock, not enough threads were exposed. Its a strong setup.

I run an aluminum set of tie rods. They are 3/4" hex tubing. The stock 06-08 yamaha tie rod ends are good. Havent broken any. Been through a few moose. I have finally snapped a ars fx stem splines of the stem at my last race. Hit a tree. I had the tie rods made by my machinest. Hard coated black. Easy adjustment. Not sure if they were the cause of the stem snapping or not. Just my $.02

I've twisted splines on stock, Houser, ars-fx, Burgard, Lonestar, and some stem called a Viper that I cant remember who made. They all twist at some point... But Houser is the only one I found that would replace the splines on their stems. Burgard may replace his too, but I didnt have time to wait to have it done so I just bought another stem.

Run whatever stem you like. But if you're running a good stabilizer, have strong tierods, and you hit something hard enough you can bet the stem splines are going to twist, no matter what stem you're running... That's just one of the design flaws on the Yamaha.

I got myself a set of Lone star tie rods and ends they are solid and thicker and they have been working great for me spent about 200 on the rods and ends.
