I'm looking for a set of handguards. I'm tired of pinching my hand on trees. What is a good brand to go with? I'm want to hear the good and the bad. Thanks guys

i run the powermadd hand guards. they have a bigger aluminum mount than others i've seen. reletively cheap. they are def strong enough to mx with but when riding in the woods if your going to be hitting them on trees they do have give and are pretty strong but if you want somethign that will last through a war probably the acerbis hand guards that mount on both sides of your hand grip. however if you ever get a bump in the rear and go and do a front flip than you risk breaking your fingers. that what i'm always afraid of with this style. i'd def recommend the powermadd

I also had the powermadd and i liked them a lot and thought they looked great too however they seemed to lossten up sometimes, I'd suggest getting the wraparound mount for them, to solid them up a little bit. I'm planning on getting a set of the protapers gaurds on my new quad now though

i had pro tapers also.. they are tapered also so your index finger gets hit.. the mounting was def not as strong as the powermadd

i run the powermadd as well, i picked them because i think they are the best looking, have a great rep, and are strong, i race XC, and i have the wrap around mounts for them, they are very strong. and well designed.
the only thing i dont like about them is it was a job getting them to mount where i wanted them. i did some light modding to my break assembly, and i run asv's so it was kinda tough, but it would probably be that tough if not worse with any other hand guard as well.

I run the Sunline (i beelive rally model, or XC version). I get good deals, and they are great. They have the solid mounts, new they look kinda big for my tastes, so i trimmed the top and bottom, and they look sweet for MX, and they protect all my levers, perch and resevoir.

i run the powermadd's mainly because i think they look the sharpest ..
im sure they all do the trick tho.
ive seen some complaints about them slipping up or down but the dealer was telling me about the mounts i bought have something to prevent it ?

I got the powermadd's as well and they were a PAIN IN THE @SS to get on.

I felt like a complete retard because I couldn't mount a pair of handguards and am still pretty sure they're on wrong.

I tried mounting with 'clamp' thing on top, then on bottom, then back, etc. I put the hand wraps on to, so at least they shouldn't move too much even if they are on wrong.

I have the Powermadd guards with the wrap around bars and i love them.. definantly the best looking ones on the market as well.. only part i didnt like was I had to take my parking brake off to get them to fit.. ah well it was coming off anyways =)

If you're looking for handguards you have to check out www.roxspeedfx.com. They make custom billet mounts for Powermadd handguards and they're really nice. I have a set on my YFZ and my TRX and they look awesome.

I'm running Cycra Pro Bend handguards. Very sturdy, but pricey.
I changed the standard shields to the smaller enduro style.
I also have these on my other race quad and I have gone over the bars without any issues of catching my hands on the guards.

Cycra Pro Bends FTW!
Here's a couple of pictures of mine installed.

The only difference with mine is that I had to purchase the BRP mounts to be able to run those handguards with my Flexx Bars.
