Hey I just got a couple new YFZ's to replace the two new ones I had bought last December. Well I have a few great riding areas here and love going to the dunes. Is there any local riders who are into doing their own maintenance? I would like to get some hands on experience with someone showing me how to do a valve adjustments, general maintenance. I know there are TONS and TONS of articles on here but I learn best when being baby sat so I do not screw anything up. Also if there are any toy hauler owners who wouldn' icon_biggrin.gif t mind tag alongs for some gas money on trips to the dunes? Or just in general people to go riding with?

i know what your saying i learn best the same way ... having someone looking over my shoulder but i was not able to get that either and after purchasing my 5th quad it was getting way to expensive to take them in for the valve checks so i just started getting my hands dirty and had to learn myself ... truthfully i still dont feel 100% confident about it especially since all my bikes are different but i would suggest picking up the service manual and go to town ... it might help having someone there that has some general motor smarts cause sometimes 2 minds are better than 1 ... or to help when you start 2nd guessing yourself ... worse case you have to take it in to fix what you screwed up
