I can't wait to get out to the dunes! Isn't anybody going to Glamis for Halloween Weekend? This will be my first time going to Glamis on a holiday weekend. Last fall was my first time out to Glamis and it was on an off weekend. Is there really a lot of people out there on a holiday weekend? Where should I go when I get out there? Sand drags? Is that where everyone is at night? What's it going to be like?

Here's the sand drags Halloween last year.

Opening weekend is a good one because everyone who has been working on their toys all summer likes to have them done and ready to rumble by Halloween.

its usually just as big as Presidents Day.

my group goes out the weekend before Halloween. its slightly less busy most of the time.
a few years ago the every where we went was glass.

that looks great! I can't wait to get out there. I couldn't find the sand drags last time i was there. I parked over close to the Beach Store.

its usually pretty packed ... and being that halloween falls on a weekend i would think it would even be worse or better depending if you like crowds of people .... but ive been hearing from different friends that have quads, jet skis, boats,and other toys that its been really dead at the usual playgrounds .... gas has nearly doubled since last year so i dont know if thats going to affect the turn outs this year ...

Head over to Gecko road for the sand drags. People usually start lining up around 2:00 or so and go till sun down. Just be careful, alot of people arne't watching where they are going.

Trust me on a busy weekend like halloween you cant miss the drags.... Litterally, if you can find Gecko road and you STILL cant find the drags then all hope is lost for you my friend!!!

During the day its usually Olds or the jump just behind it... or Dune'n, 3pm to sun down is the drags, then its back off to Olds at night to see all the fun stuff!!

Have fun and be safe, theres lots of idiots out on these weekends, but with gas prices the way they are it might be kinda mellow.

Hey last time i was there was on kind of an off weekend. Hardly any of the vendors on vendor row were opened then. What i'm wondering is that if I need parts or anything like that will there be someone who's open and selling that stuff?

I went to Glamis last Thanksgiving. I heard it was the biggest time of the year and were going again this winter. Whats the biggest weekend????

i hear that it's a toss-up between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Presidents Day. I've personally never been on one of those weekends yet so a buddy and me are going to head out there for Halloween and see what all the fuss is about. If there's that many people....I hope there's still room for us to ride without getting plowed into by a rail or something like that. :) We'll see I guess.

So who else is going to be out there this year for the season kick off!? The days are going by slow! I can't wait to get out there.

Man I can't wait!! There's nothing that compares to being right there with that crowd watching as 6 or 7 rails w/ LS vette engines roaring down the strip........can't wait.

ive been there all those weekends ... my vote is for thanksgiving .... i dont go to much on thanksgiving anymore .... it can be fun and its something to expirence but theres lots of idiots out there and ive seen 3 deaths b4 on that weekend ... theres something about seeing a dead body in all his gear that brings down the rest of your weekend ....

yeah i suppose that would put kind of a downer on the weekend. : ( anyhow...about another 3 weeks until it's time to go! i think we decided to go to Glamis instead of Buttercup. I'll be getting there on the 30th of this month and staying until the 2nd. I hope that i can find a place to camp kind of near vendor row and the Beach store. ??? We don't have the cash to get an RV or toy hauler this time so I guess we're going to be tenting it. Probably be the only ones out there with a tent so maybe you guys can pick me out of the crowd. Ha ha.. Hopefully i'm not the only one tenting it out there. That'd be kind of awkward. I guess i'll find out. Last year on the weekend of the 13th of october we were tenting it and had to leave in the middle of the weekend because it was so incredibly windy! It was like a hurricane out there...seriously. Never seen wind like that! Santa Anna winds someone said. I really hope wind doesn't ruin this trip for me. That last time was my first time out there and i only got to ride for one full day....and we left that night 'cause we couldn't get the tent to stand up to the wind.

I'll be getting their on Friday 31 Wash #4.

One more week! I'm going to be packing up this weekend and taking off next wednesday! Can't wait. Bring on the tricks and treats. :)
