With the new google adds it's taking WAYYY too long to open a page on this site!

I know the site has to make $, or what's the point in owning it.... But isn't there something that can be done to make it where it doesn't take ALL FRIGGIN DAY to open one page???

lmao if you think this site is bad try cardomain once. I gave up on that site years ago.. All the add's on this site definetly slowed it down a bit, but it's still not too bad compared to alot of other sites out there...

10 to 5 seconds or less for me to open a page, adds or no adds.

I was trying to be polite about it and only trying to help the site because I happen to like it so much! I've been a member here a long time, and I've learned alot from other members. And I feel like I've been able to teach a few others from my experiences...

I've had DSL since day 1....! But thanks for the "tip" anyway!

Ever since the google adds appeared it takes alot longer to open each page, EVEN WITH DSL... But if everyone's just as happy as pie with the way it is now, then why change...? Maybe I'm just too impatient...


Duane, how much does it cost to become a suporting member? Would it remove the google adds from my view and speed up the page loading speed that way? Maybe that'll help cure my frustrations.

I'm not sure...I forgot what I sent Steve a loooooong time ago. Shoot him a PM and verify that Patrons don't see the google adds...it could just be moderators....maybe.

The pages aren't as quick as they used to be but I'm content with all the banners and adds...it's helping the site....plus it's not mine.

I have high speed Cox Cable.....I never used DSL so I couldn't compare the two.

Maybe it's your computer. My computer's slow, it needs upgraded. But when I'm on a new computer, this site is pretty fast. No complaints to the site for me, just to the computer owner.

I see google ads so I'm guessing no?

Maybe it your settings is why it slow, I don't see adds unless i click on them

Same experience here. A faster newer system will load this site very quickly.

I was having issues loading pages only on the central sites here at work. Alls it took was for me to download the latest version of internet explorer and it fixed my problem. I can't use any other browser here at work.

Dial Up?? Whats that....never heard of that.....

Oh how I miss the dial crunching and noises modems use to make....I am getting all teary eyed thinking about the good old days where porn would download one line at a time....

This site is rediculous. I have alot of experance with invision sites. And it is the best site for me. But not this one. It gets quite annoying how slow it is.

There are less and less posts as time progresses. I spend less time on here now, I just dont have the patience.

I have the latest computer technology at my work site. It still loads this site extremely slow. I am getting more and more frustrated.

I am glad to see it's not just me. This site loads so slowly, it is ridiculous. I am on the highest speed service that my cable provider has, and I have a an 07 model computer with the latest processor, and IE7.

All my other sites are extremely fast, this place is...........SLOOOOOOOW.

It seems we are getting attacked by various IP sources.

I don't know why..but they keep coming back. We are working on a fix now.

I'm Almost 100 percent sure that it is not virous ips. It is the site. I've had experances with invsiom sites and they are no were close to as slow as this on. I can post up 100+ sites that are from invsion and they are rediculous fast. So i think the ads are the first thing to go. Oh and the .GIF adds the one that are multi pictured slow the whole site down prolly like 50% bc the fact that it takes you're computer to run the. And img 100% sure about that. So either just add picutes but the animanted ones like the ones that changes picutres automaticly slow the sight down a ton. just get ride of them for 1 day and you'll notice i difference im sure.

I'm on a mediocre DSL connection @ 1330 MB/S DL Rate.. It's not slow for me, but it could be faster..

What browser are you using?? I have found that IE7 is SLOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! It'll never load on IE7, but if I try on Firefox it'll load instantly. -just some jee wiz info..

Hmmm I will have to try that, I'm running at 10Mb/s with broadband and it is gay annoying.
