Full Version: Check Out This Awesome Blaster Build Up
YFZCentral > :::General Discussion::: > Other Yamaha quads!
NYMXer
Any one who has ever dreamed of building up a Blaster needs to check this thread over at Thumper Talk out. It is L O N G but well worth the read. The guy Paulie goes into some great detail on how he put a YZ400 engine into his beat Blaster. I thought it would be great to share his work with the rest of the ATV world out there.

Please keep the replies positive and on topic. This is not about Thumper Talk vrs YFZCentral but about what can be done to a beat Blaster given some spare time and talent. Enjoy!

that looks like a yz125 engine in there. I have a friend who has a blaster and I told him and he he has been wantng to put a YZ250 dirt bike motor in his blaster for mx racing and flat tack racing. That would be a sweet and fast blaster. It woul kill on a track, and probably beat out a 450 on a track. But I kind of doubt it myself. But you never know. Anyway, that is sweet how someone put a dirt bike motor into a blaster. Those would be fast quads with the dirt bike motors in them and as long as they're set up for the rider, like the steering stem is set to the right height, and the handle bars are adjusted right, and its a good race quad for the rider, they're set then.

That is an impressive build-up that definitely turned out nice. One thing I would've liked to see is more frame modification to fix the geometry issues with the Blaster. I guess the main point was to make this a sleeper so that probably wouldn't have accomplished that.
