well since this is the canada forum, anyone know where to get just a R1 engine? or know anyone... I've tried looking on a ebay but i dont want to ship from the states to here? even maybe wrecked bikes, with the engine in good condition.. thanks

Don't know where you are from but try the guys at Cycle Salvage in Stoney Plain Alberta. I don"t have their number handy but try directory, thet have quite a few wrecked bikes in stock.
