i wanna ease up my thumb throttle on my 05, i heard theres a way to do it witht he spring inside the carb? anyone wanna help me out?

You can either cut the one you have now or buy a softer spring off Ebay. The seller is Johnhonnda1 I think, something like that. Or the directions to cut yours are on Mansellracings website.

didnt the one about cutting the spring actually make it stiffer? i read an article about that i think. but yeah i got the new spring from johnhoinda and love it to death!!!!!

relocate the spring end to the next tag around on the throttle shaft, this is the correct way to remove some of the preload ont he spring

i need help i did the carb spring mod and now my bike wont run whats wrong it pops back fires and dies

did you move the slide in anyway? open your carb back up and take a look

yea i put the one part of the slide in upside down fixed it. and i cut the carb spring and wow thats alot better it took awhile to get it right i cut and bend then have to do it again tell it was real soft and had enough streght to shut the slide. now i can race this sat day cause i broke my thumb and dam it hurts

hey i just did my spring mod about 15mins ago its wasnt to bad at all when we were done put it back together it idled a little funny but a little ajustment she was good again took it for a ride didnt even feel like i had a throttle any more i def would tell anyone to do this mod
