I WAS GOING TO USE IT FOR SOME FUN TRAIL RIDING AND TO MESS AROUND ON SOME JUMPS. i WAS LOOKING AT THE 700 RAPTOR I WILL BE GETTING A USED ONE SO I WAS WONDERING WHATS SO DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE 7OOR AND THE YFZ450???? iF YOU CAN TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM MAYBE IT WILL NARROW MY DECISION DOWN THANKS.
deleted last post accident but so the 450 is faster? how does that work out?? one has 700cc and the other 450cc ??? always wondered about this argument. is the 450 quicker also?

me and my dad have 06 se yfz's and we ride the dunes and trails, they work just fine for us.
the yfz is deff quicker off the start (dont get me wrong the yfz is fast), but i pretty sure 700r has more top speed. and the 700r is heavier, and bulkier (sp). yfz has a lower center of gravity, but the 700r is more comfortable (seat wise). just some stuff i know. tell me if im wrong on anything.

DOES THE REVERSE COME IN HANDY OR IS THE BIKE EASY TO PUSH WHEN IT COMES INTO A BIND?

haven't ridden the ltr, but the raptor 700 is an awesome bike, i've ridden one with everything GYTR and ishock front end, awesome. but going off my preference the 450r and yfz are just more "fun". i don't know how else to put it. they're lighter bikes and just easier and more entertaining to throw around and can make about the same power as the 700, but just in a different way, little less grunt more top end / revs, which i think adds to the "fun" also.

first off the raptor 700 is actually 686cc not 700... but watever. I have both a 700 and a yfz 450. The raptor is fast and a lot easier to ride than the 450.. The 450 is more of an agressive type of ride. The reverse on the raptor would have been really helpful at the dunes. It all depends on the type of riding you like to do. and how agressive you are when riding. because the 450 requires more shifting than the 700.. while the 700 u can keep in 2nd and 3rd gear all day long..hope this was helpful

We have an 06 YFZ, 700 and an 07 LTR450, and they are all awesome. My YFZ is definately the funnest for me to ride but it is also the most "built". We ride a ton of dunes and some mx/ race. Again the YFZ shines but the LTR is pretty much stock. Anyway I would choose my YFZ for jumping and playing, the 700 is a rocket and will climb anything but its definately harder in the air. The LTR is sweet but its hard to compare because its very stock but has tons of potential. Power wise the YFZ has the best "hit" but does require more work to ride, the 700 is a great cruiser and has tons of power to spare, the LTR has a very smooth feel to it and feels very balanced but does lack a little power in the low end but again mines stock.

The 700 is a great trail quad and it's fast, but it's heavy and really heavy in the air. I love the power my 700 has, but were looking at the 450 or the new KFX 450 for my son. He's 14 and reverse is really nice to have. The 450's seem to be easier to handle for him. Like I said we do all trail riding and that should be what you look at when you buy, what your quads going to be used for.....Hope this helps
