I was tlaking to a guy and he said he was out driving about an hour out of edmonton (not sure which direction) and he said he saw some sand dunes and there were some guys riding one them. By the sounds of it they weren't huge dunes or anything but he said it looked like a pretty big area. Does anyone know this location he is talking about. I'm interested in it.
Thanks

what do you call a sand dune? There are areas of sand within an hour of the city but only a select few of us know there where abouts. most are small but we can link 3 or 4 together on one ride and make a super full day of it. Not talking about bruderhuim, victoria trails vega or smith. pops has a plane so i know where they all are. we scouted around edmonton many times looking for sand pits/dunes.
Canadian450 has heard of these dunes but has yet to come with us.

My friends, what we are talking about is a place called Bruel(?). It's west of Edmonton towards Hinton. I"ve never been, but my wife's cousin makes the trip once a year at May long weekend. Can't help you out with much more, but maybe our paths will cross up there. I'm planing on making a trip this year.
