Right now I am just getting info and availabilty of products. If I buy the HH for my 450 I am interrested in the 14.1. I live at 6000ft and ride locally between 5000ft-9500ft. Would I need to run a race gas at my altitude? I can get 106 at the pump here at Chief petrolium. Thanks.

If i'm not mistaken 106 will be plenty to prevent pinging...

14:1 I would not run lower than 110 myself but I'm at 500 feet.
but your pretty high up there and I'm like 500 feet so its got to affect if greatly. It would be intresting to see how the altitude changes the need for jets or a different octane of gas.

The 14:1 will require race fuel. The 12.5:1 will not require race gas.

I heard mixxer is in a dilemma over the 2 ringers leaking oil and was thinking of going to 3 ringers. Will this delay the Yfz HH's?

The pistons will stay the same. no issue with the pistons... people who are experience problems didnt check the clearances ! you cant expect to put a new piston inside of an old bore!

People who were experiencing problems didnt do the install correctly. If installed correctly, by someone who knows what they are doing, there will be no smoking or leaking.
And yes you can drop a new piston in the old bore, it just has to be installed correctly and all clearances checked.

Do you have any 14.1 stock bore in stock yet? Thanks.

We have the 12.5:1s in stock (stock bore) the 14:1s are backordered indefinately and probably wont be back...(VCP said there wasn't enough demand)
These pistons are a better design, also when combined w/ the Pulse Charger exhuast it makes a killer engine w/out doing any bore work!
PM me or call if your interested!

That is why I am trying to find someone that ordered some 14.1 and still might have them in stock.
