Does anyone have know of any great places to ride in the midwestern states besides the L.S. in Oklahoma. I love the dunes, but I would love to know of some others that are close by(NE Kansas).

Thanks, Kyle

Yeah, I was thinking of going back, but it's been like 5 years since i've been over there. From what I remember it was fun but I was 16 and had a blaster. ahhh the good ol' days with no resposibilities.

You may want to check out Wolf Pen GAP. It is located in the Ouachita's National forest, just south of Ft. Smith. There are about 75 miles worth of trails ranging from easy to difficult. If you ride fast you can ride the hole park in about 2 days, maybe one if you left at sunrise and came home at dark skipping the technical sections and riding flat out. The Wolf Pen Gap ATV park is where we stay when we go up there. They have warm showers, a place to wash your bike, and even several different levels of cabins if you don't want to camp. It is fairly in-expensive, it's free to ride, but you pay to camp. Some of the terain can get rough and you may find yourself putting around some of the more rugged trails. Most of the riders that frequent this location ride Ute's, but as long as you use your head you won't tear up your bike. There is one part of the park that you may want to stay away from, but that will depend on your skill level and willingness to risk it. It is a very long, slow, and technical clime called Hawks Overlook. It is definatley a killer view and if you like to say you have done what many other 450 or sport riders have not, go for it. Besides the ride there is alot of other things to see as well. They have a miners cave, the "Blue Whole", little missouri falls, and all kinds of other places to see. BUY SKID PLATES and USE YOUR HEAD AND ALL WILL GO WELL.

PS dont miss out on the Fire Roads ----

You might also try the new lake draper trails, (haven't ridden them yet so I can't comment), The Red River (OK/TX state line), Stillwater trails and mx track, or get on the OCCRA web site and look at the other trials here in Oklahoma.
