Just thought I'd start a thread for those thinking about getting out to the Imperial Sand Dunes (Glamis, Ogilby, Gordons Well) during the Easter weekend.

As allway its a blast to have a group of others with their YFZs around to do some bowl running, dragging and just comparing mods and quads.

Who all is going to make it out to the Imperial Sand Dunes over Easter? Where are you planning on going? What days will you be there?


My truck is up here in the frozen tundra and my pull rig is a car so I'll have to stay either off Gecko road or in the Merriman Ogilby camp location.

Anyone else going?

Oh yeah, I will be at Gordon's for Easter. I don't have a big camp, so if a crew here is going to get together, maybe I will join along.

I'm out My truck is in the shop. They said it was a combination of a mass airflow position sensor, plug wires and plugs ($525) and I gotta open up the top end of my wifes EX.

I'll be there thur 3/24 through 3/27 sun. I camp at the washes. I'v got the yfz and the girl has a z400. Two other people in my group run stock yfz's and the rest all have those northstar sand thingys. Be great to meet up.. Just have to figure out how to meet up.

If you got a cell we may be able to call you or you can call us or we can just plan to meet up a certain day, location and time. Let us know.

I'v got sprint and recently thier coverage just went down in that area. I used to get at least 2-3 bars there. THey claim though they never had coverage..
So there goes the cell phone idea.

Last month when I was out in the Imperial sand dune I was able to get reception with Sprint. Hope things haven't changed since February.

Il Be in Buttercup over easter. If you go accross the new bridge that goes over the canal, follow the hill back towards the freeway, we are the first big camp you come to. Hope to see some guys out there

Some vendors during presidents day weekend had banners up for people to call sprint and complain. I can get coverage if I put it into roam now but before it was normal coverage.

I''l be at wash 16. Big group and less crowded.. Closer to boardmanville

I'll be out there for the weekend......my cell worked at Ogilby, but not at Gecko or the washes.

I'll be camping off Gecko with the wife and kid.

Should be an awesome time !!!!!!!

You guys with Sprint phones, if you go to the top of Osborne you're phones will work. It sucks though, the first couple trips this season Sprint worked everywhere out there.

TELL ME ABOUT IT.. It was nice rif=ding in the dunes and come back to camp at night and check out the board.
