Hi, im currently using renthal grips and they are giving me bad blisters and abit too small and hard. had some old scott grips that were amazing( good size, softness and everything). but i cant find them either because theyr an old style so they look different or some other reason.

anyway back to the point how do you compare these grips in terms of size. ODI have 12 or 13cm(120-130mm) which is huge compared to renthal or stock ( both measured at 10 cm) and im pretty sure Oury are bigger than ODI, can someone correct me on this? if theyr anywhere near the size of the fat spiders then theyr huge.

i actually like stock grips but scotts so far have been the best. can anyone point me in the right direction? i live outside the US and none of these grips are available so i cant go and try them out at a shop, shipping is also really expensive so by the time they get here its gona cost alot just for grips so would rather narrow it down then order 4 or 5 different sets.

thanks in advance

You can buy stock grips. They are only about $5 ea.

i had the same problem with renthals. i went to pro taper and loved tehm except they wore super quick. so i tried oury, and let me tell you i was worried about how bg they were at first, but know i love them!!

I second the OURY opinion, I love mine and may never use another grip again. You will find a lot of different personal preferences though. I have heard of others hating their OURY's because they claim they give them blisters. Everyone is different.... best thing to do is just try it for yourself.
REEDracing94
oury or pro taper pillow top lights but they would prob feel small to you to
KTM RIDAA
oury, pro taper, and my prefrence is odi they rock!!

i tried full waffle, half waffle, different combos...

best thing for me is soft compound half waffle dirt bike grips (with big inner rings) and just cut out the thumb section..

I use Pro Taper Pillow Tops on both my bikes. Honestly I love them so much that I have extra sets on hand just in case I tear one or they wear out. I have to order them so I always order a few sets at a time icon_cool.gif

Also I know a lot of guys on here are sponsored by Steel MX / SMX Optics. They make grips but I've never tried them. Maybe someone on here has??? If you're feeling daring give them a shot. I'm just not willing to ditch my Pro Tapers to try them out.....sponsorship or no sponsorship

There was a thread a while ago about grips and theres some guys that really like them. I just ordered a pair today.

Ive had every ODI Lockon they make and loved everyone, For different riding conditions. Wet muddy races got the diamondplate ones, never lost grip, dry get the ruffian, I change control set ups alot and like the easy unbolt and change grips.

i agree with you man, for guys with big hands Oury's are great...a smaller grip makes me have to squeeze down too tight and causes arm pump...i experienced this with Pro Taper, Tag, and Spider...then I switched to Oury and its a lot better, my big hands can keep a proper loose grip on the controls...

plus they're really thick and soft so they soak up a little vibration and are super tacky too....i've never had an issue with them getting slick when wet/muddy, and when its gonna get real muddy I take a razor blade and cut the edges of each square down to make the grooves wider to channel the mud out

Odi grips are awesome!! No glue or wire needed. Just use the locks. They look really hot to and take a lot of vibration away. I use them for mx and it helped a lot. I also found if you get blisters it could be from your gloves if you use them. Try putting baby powder in your gloves it should help with that. Down side to this is you will be made fun off cuz you smell like a baby.
