I , and alot of people on here.. Like to change it after 3 good rides out . Changing the oil filter with it everytime , or save yourself money and hastle and buy a reusable stainless steel filter.. Bike takes just about 2 quarts of oil , drain the oil from the crankcase (left side of the motor) and the oil tank , bolt em back up .. Fill er up with oil , check accordingly and rip !

For me I go every 10 hours on the oil and filter and every ride with the air filter. With an hour meter there is no guessing involved, I wish I put one on long ago.

like stated above, every few good rides. I change mine when it starts getting dark. Change the filter every time. i dont bother with the re-usable ones though. I dont trust them at all. I use Bel-Ray Thumper 10-40W.

Oil + filter is the cheapest "engine insurance" u can buy.
We change oil & filter after every race day or 5 hrs, whichever comes first.
We use Valvoline 20-50w. Doesn't have to be synthetic or the high priced goo. But make sure it's bred for wet clutches.
When we open up the engine for annual rebuild, it looks like new inside.
