Finally got around to cutting my fenders... went with the shaved style. I used a Dremel for the cuts, a file to knock off the burs and get a better shape, then a razor blade to fine tune and smooth everything. Next step will be wetsanding and then flat black paint.

WAIT! whaaaaaat?!?! dont paint youre plastics, they vibrate over small bumpe more than you know, it will chip and crack and make youre quad, look..... uhmm, rather, nice... with chipping paint. not to mention it rubs off with riding (boots/pants)

I clean it after each ride, I had just got done riding an hour before these pics were taken and hadn't gotten a chance to clean it yet. Like I've said already though, the small fenders won't affect me because I rarely ride with plastics on because I take them off to clean it anyway, or when I work on it. Besides that most of the mounting tabs are messed up from the previous owner, and the locking tabs on the tank cover and side covers don't stay together and it annoy me when I ride.

The plastic tabs on the body is what's worn out, and I'm not gonna waste $500 on a few pieces of plastic when I can just ride without them or zip tie them together. My dirtbike is a different story, I'd gladly spend the money on it because it's not ridiculously expensive to buy new fenders. I just put a new rear fender on my dirtbike yesterday as a matter of fact, the ground ate the last one :(

well ya, i mean i sat here tryin to think of something funny to say without being too mean and i just couldn't do it.
i have mixed feelings. i find it rather appalling that someone would actually ride without plastics other than to just give'er a test run up and down the road. and i also think only a retard would ride without plastics on a regular basis. i also feel like this dude just effed up his plastics so bad trying to do a cut that he's "claiming" that he rides without them so it doesn't matter. its like talking to a 10 yr old.

Well I suppose that once I finish rebuilding my '05 (which consists of at least a new crank and an '07 oil pump, squirter, and clutch cover, possibly a stroker crank though), I might as well keep it seeing as I've got so much into it already. I don't wanna pay for another kickstart kit and GYT-R exhaust for an '07, not to mention all the other crap I've done to it myself...

Actually, I have a friend that's looking for some white plastics, I'll see if he's interested. How are all the mounting tabs? Oh, and I think I've decided on what to do with it... I wanna put the Falicon Minotaur kit on it, but it's probably gonna be a loooooong time before I have the cash for that. I figure though, if I'm gonna go big, I might as well go really big :)
