I bought the Eastwood powder coating kit. The kit was 155 and came with 4 powders and high temp plugs and masking tape.
I bought a small toaster oven that heats just like a regular oven. Paid 8 dollars on craigslist for it. I also have a large oven to do big parts. Walmart has toaster ovens that you can fit alot of parts in.
I drilled and tapped a metal plate to fit all my bolts in to coat the heads. Powder goes alot farther than i thought it would.
The hardest part about coating things is how to hang it or sit in the oven with out messing up the powder.
I wouldnt ever do anything large like a frame but with it being so cheap to do all my bolt heads and bracket i thought why not. Here are some pictures of the very first things i shot.

On the sockets i mixed some colors to play around.
Here are some pictures

Pretty much if you buy this kit and still cant powder coat then you should have your balls slapped clap.gif

This is the main box. Has a plug for the wall. 3 fixed wires. The gun, Activation Switch, and the ground grip (on the part)

The gun, Mine now has a fixed air regulator on the gun

My $8 toaster oven. Heats to 500 degrees. I also have a large oven in our diesel shop
Does great for brackets and little things like nuts and bolts

Everything

This is some powder i mixed together to play with the colors. This is only the SECOND things i ever coated and they are nearly perfect

The radiator hose clamps that i didn't use

I recommend this kit to everyone. Its cheap, easy and has so many uses. especially on custom quads
Any questions let me know.. Will post some more pictures of my cylinder, clutch cover, and water pump cover soon as its done. Its about as easy as..... strokin.gif

I got my gun from eastwood and i get my powder from POWDERBUYTHEPOUND.COM its cheap and their powders are really good. And i got a small toaster oven (not the one pictures) from walmart for $50 and its a really good one. can fit alot of stuff in it. I recently did my oil tank, cylinder and some other small parts at the same time.

I made my own oven that can fit 2 frames in. But i'm not sure how safe it would be to attempt if you didn't know what you were doing. I have seen people put the door down on the oven and build a sort of extra chamber.

I bought the kit that comes with the plugs, wire and everything. I only wanted the book and plugs but cheaper than buying seperate. I paid 150 for everything on ebay from eastwood
