drain the black rezzy up front near the rad.
there is a 12mm bolt underneath the shifter, take that out and thats how you drop the crankcase oil
the oil filter is on the right side (when sitting on it) to the left of the coolant impeller. 3 allen key bolts.
put about 1.5 qt. in the black rezzy, then put about .3 qt. in the crankcase. There is a little black know ob the left side of the motor (again, when sitting on it), unscrew it out. Clean out the dirt and stuff around the hole/o-ring. Make sure none gets in the cases. Put in enough so it doesnt have a dry start, about .3qt.
I like to kinda "trick start" my quad by just tapping the starter button, getting the oil pump to pump some oil to some places, then start it up and run for about 5 mins. Let sit for about 15 mins, check the oil in the black rezzy, add if needed.

hey yfzer359 what is this black nob? the one on the left side of the motor? you talking about where you should add the oil at right?
so all in all i need about 2.1 court of oil correct? or just about 1.9 court? 1.5 in the black pan, .3 in the crankcase, and where does that last .3 go? you got me lost there.
thank you for the help i needed it

the .3 goes directly into the crankcase. There is a black know on only the left side of the motor. You cant miss it, its the only one there. Only 1.9 qt. Some ppl on here are using the full 2 qt, but i dont see how they can be. I have enough left over after one change, to fill the crankcase again for the next change.

manual calls for 1.98 quarts, if your only putting 1 and a half quarts in, something is wrong.
drain the engine, and the oil reservoir.
add a quart and a half to the reservoir, poor the other half quart in the engine. your done. no big deal.

I put in about 1.7 in mine. The rezzy is full even after running it for 20 mins. With a filter change any everything
