I have a hmf sport slipon on my 04 yfz and where the mid pipe is clamped to the pipe inlet and where it clamps to the header leaks. Where it clamps theres always a small leak causing backfiring. The clamp bends the pipe up in the middle causing it to leak. Did anyone ever else have this problem. and what is the fix? and i got no money for a whole new exhaust.

I had it on my Big Gun exhaust. You can get a tube of sealant for exhaust at NAPA Auto parts. It's about 9 dollars. It'll smoke for about 10 min before it seals fine.

Also did you re-jet the carb? If not that is what is actually causing your back fire. As for your header are you leaking by the slip on or the cyl? If it's the cyl then get a new exhaust gasket.

Its jetted fine, its just the gaps are pretty big between the pipe. The part thats leaking is where the midpipe clamps to the can inlet, and where it clamps to the header. Ill look for some of that sealant today, thanks
