Anyone going? We got a couple spots in the KOA there near Hauser...gonna be a great weekend!

We're all going to be up in Florence that weekend, but if for any reason that changes we'll see you there!

Ahh...bummer! We thought about going to Florence to stay and ride, but the reservation queue at KOA worked out for us :) Have fun up there guys! I really wanted to go was Winchester... I'm pretty bummed out that camping spots haven't worked out. Hard to get places to stay last minute on weekends like this...I'm just stoked that we actually got something!

Time to start sand camping.

Done that plenty of times, it's pretty fun staying out in the sand with no neighbors...the sand camping spots were full when I checked a week or two ago. We would have had problems getting out into the sand this trip though, so it probably wouldn't have worked out even if we could have found a spot.

I was planning on going... Not sure where yet. A friend of mine has a private camp ground in florence that he always stay at. Right off of Sand dunes frontier access. I honestly dont know if I want to go to florence though because it has turned into Police central, especially big weekends like labor day. We'll see though.

Really? I've seen a lot more pigs and BLM bumbs at spinreel this year than Florence. Although we have spent more time at Spinreel too.

What kinds of problems are you having with cops?? My only issue is sound, and I haven't got a ticket for that in about 10 years. Police/USFS really shouldn't deter you from riding unless you are doing sh*t that is really against the law...

It really has nothing to do with doing anything wrong with either PB or myself, except we both run notoriously loud pipes. I just rather not have to deal with them at all, for friendly conversation or not, I don't trust law enforcement.

Ya, they definately do hang out in spinreel a lot too. They can really jump out at you when you pull off of the sand into the parking lot. I've had one hide behind the bushes when we were nigh riding. Fortunately he just gave me a warning. That was when I was rockin' my 9in Nmotion.

It's not that we are really doing anything wrong. Like Nic said, Oregon450duner, we'd rather not have to deal with them at all. My JSR exhaust is still fairly loud which draws negative attention. Plus a majority of the guys I ride with, including myself have fairly "flashy" quads which draws attention to us as well. Put the two together andthe stupid Po's seem to really look for you. The Po's don't really keep us from riding, I was more or less stating that Florence has a million po's running wild on Labor day weekend.

Makes perfect sense to me! :) I have a pretty loud exhaust myself. I had them test it at a USFS complimentary check station they had at South Jetty once and it read 101 dbs. If you do get a ticket they have a rule that says if you can quiet the exhaust down and prove it by bringing it by their office before the fine is due that they will only charge you $15. They told me about that when I got my ticket like 10 years ago, so it may have changed. That is a great deal if you live somewhat close. I can understand why they have the dbs limit though, some of the really loud quads can be heard for quite a long distance which can disturb the residents and other tourists/visitors. It's too hard to give up the awesome sound and increased power though! ;) If you get a ticket just think of it as a donation to help maintenance or improve your favorite riding area!
