Has anyone tryed them and what did you think? They are priced way lower then some of Elka's other shocks.

I'm not sure, but I think they are just the recreational shocks that are setup more for dune riding than general recreation. I may be wrong, so don't quote me.

The dune edition on my shocks is just the valving, setup soft for sand dunes.

I had a set of the first Elka Dune editions on my quad for one ride and they did not have anywhere near enough bottom out resistance. So I put them on my Dad's quad with stock length arms (I had them set up for +2) and they rode much nicer, but even then a little soft in my book. If you dont jump or drop off the back side of dunes then they're really plush otherwise you'll be bottoming out left and right

I have the sport/racing series Elka shocks valved for XC and they work VERY good for dune riding. They are just a good all around setup for most everything.
