I'm not really familiar with xc front ends. I was just curious if some of you guys knew, what xc arms take a 18.5" shock. Thanks

Im reasonably sure that nobody runs an 18.5" shock on XC style arms. Reason being is that the arms are shorter in length, so in order to get the proper leverage ratio, the shock length must remain a bit shorter. For example, if you were to take your wash arms and move the balljoint inwards 2 inches, it would damn near be on top of the shock mount. This would yield a very poor leverage ratio and overall poor performance. You could design around it, but the mounts would be so low on the arm that they would cause a ground clearance issue.
The longest lengths i've seen ran are from Houser and ARS FX. I believe both are 17.25" or there abouts. The good news is that getting your Axis shocks shortend up wouldnt be that big of an issue. I'd reccomend having a good look at the Ars Fx arms. |

I am running the Laeger +.75 and custom Axis Pro Air, and could not be happier. I know a lot of people are running the Ars-fx a-arms and Exit shocks and that is a killer set-up aswell for XC racing.
