Hey buddy, I think I remember you from 3 years ago??!!! Im 41 and just started to get the itch to ride again this summer. I , too, am amazed at how this site has changed. Ive decided to keep my yfz and ride it now and then as I sure dont feel 41 yet. I think you should get a new motor and just ride it when you feel like it for recreation, stop with this im 42 bla bla!!

I made it out of some scrap aluminum and then PCed it. I also drilled the holes to help it breath....I was tired of burning my riding boots. It went from the house, to the field then to the shed. |

Wish I had the cash Duane........I'd love to have one set up for MX and one setup for woods. Definitely a badass ride. Maybe you'll talk yourself back into one day.
Until then........you have "500" reasons to enjoy your spare time with now. |

I remember getting help from you when I was building my yfz back in '04-'05. It just hasnt been the same since then. Ive become busy with other things and the site sure has changed. I miss those days.

mhm Please don't ruin a great post...Duane, you helped me out when I had my Blaster... back in 03. But since then I lost/forgot passwords and e-mails I used to get in here LOL I know where your coming from with some tough decisions. I have had to make several with lots of good quads over the years. But mine now (getting a major re-build) will never leave my side. I bought it in early Jan. this year, no practice time before my first race. Got 12th out of 38 (cross country) after leading till 2 laps to go... tree's hurt when you get cross rutted HEHE Anyway, I never finished outside the top 3 unless something major happened. It won me my FIRST championship since I started in 03 on the Blaster. If yours has as much of your heart as mine does, don't get rid of it! I'm sure shes paid for and can gather dust while you work on it. I hate tearing mine down cause it takes away ride time, but one bad bolt, sprocket (which is broke on mine now) or a bad bearing will cost more riding time later. From seeing those beautiful shots of wildlife, you have some great patience... Stick with it, let it gather dust, and when you both are ready, go show them young boys how we OLD guys do it!!! Your a hell of a guy... hope you stick with us here no matter what.... Ryan |
